Working Groups

The PSF uses working groups to get things done. Each group has a charter, a set of members, and a specific area of responsibility. Some of these groups are very active; others are dormant or have completed their original purpose. This page lists all of them, current and historical.

Active Working Groups

These groups have dedicated wiki sections with charters, meeting notes, and other materials.

  • Bylaws WG – Reviews and proposes changes to the PSF bylaws

  • Conduct WG – Handles Code of Conduct enforcement and policy

  • Fellow WG – Evaluates and recommends candidates for PSF Fellow membership

  • Grants WG – Reviews grant proposals and allocates PSF funding to community projects

  • Jobs WG – Manages the Python job board

  • Marketing WG – Coordinates PSF marketing efforts and sponsorship programs

  • Meta WG – Oversees working group processes and governance

  • Packaging WG – Funds and coordinates improvements to pip, PyPI, and the packaging toolchain
